We are looking for a Production Operator to join our busy and growing organisation. The Production Operator will produce agreed levels of quality product through the successful operation of various machines while adhering to and positively contributing to health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a production environment, successfully operating different machinery as required with manual handling of products produced off each machine.
  • Produce products in line with company output rates.
  • Follow all company safety procedures.
  • Comply with work instructions.
  • Comply with all quality documents and procedures.
  • Follow production schedules as required and meet deadlines.
  • Fill in the required SAP information and downtime data.
  • Produce good quality product in line with the quality guidelines.
  • Record any scrap on the system.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workstation in line with 5S standards.
  • Train on multiple types of machinery for flexibility.
  • Operate all machine controls, which are a combination of mechanical, push button and computer key/touch pads.
  • Fault-find on daily generic issues and escalate complex faults to the team leader.
  • Inspect production first-offs to ensure rejects are not passed on through the process and high standards of quality are achieved.

Required Experience / Skills / Qualifications

  • Counterbalance or combi forklift licence.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • PC literate.

Desirable

  • Understanding of mechanical production techniques.
  • SAP experience.
  • Combi forklift licence.
