We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Team Lead to join our dynamic maintenance team at our Milton Keynes site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running, reliability and performance of our plant operations.
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Overtime available
The Role: As Engineering Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities while providing hands-on support when needed. You’ll lead a team of engineers, coordinate repairs, and ensure equipment downtime is minimised.
- Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of maintenance engineers
- Organising daily workloads and planned maintenance schedules
- Responding to breakdowns and ensuring quick, effective repairs
- Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime (MTTR & MTBF)
- Managing spare parts, suppliers, and contractor activity
- Supporting continuous improvement and operational performance
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work hands-on with machinery and plant equipment
- Support the team proactively
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND desirable)
