We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Assistant Manager will play a vital part in creating a welcoming environment for guests while supporting the management team in achieving business objectives.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, to deliver outstanding hospitality experiences.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all areas of the establishment.
- Coordinate staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient team.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact.
- Support in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Assist in organising promotional events or special functions to enhance guest engagement.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation within the premises.
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally with culinary expertise.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation and kitchen management.
