The White Horse Federation is a Multi-Academy Trust comprising 30 schools. We are currently seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to lead and coordinate health and safety compliance across the Trust. You will play a key role in ensuring that all schools and central teams operate in line with current legislation and best practice, promoting a strong culture of safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on health and safety matters across the Trust.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits and site inspections.
  • Support schools with incident reporting and investigation.
  • Deliver training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports for senior leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with school leaders and operational teams.

Candidate profile

  • Proven experience in a health and safety role (education sector desirable).
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach.
