We are an independently owned, traditional British restaurant with rooms seeking an enthusiastic Duty Manager. We are renowned as a high quality, well run establishment and we are growing. As a Duty Manager, you are an important member of the team. You will have contact with the customer during every part of their experience with us, be it in the bar, restaurant or accommodation. As the Focal Point on each shift it is vital that you lead by example, setting and implementing the standards for more junior staff members.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the team on each shift
- Showing customers to their tables or rooms
- Presenting customers with menus, answering questions about dishes and making recommendations
- Serving food and beverages to customers
- Checking on customers and rectifying any issues
- Restocking and ordering supplies at the beginning and end of each shift
- Cashing up at the end of each shift
- Be a key holder
- Occasional overnight stays in staff accommodation on site
You must be able to work flexible shifts (5 days out of 7) including weekends. Salary is competitive depending upon experience.
