Our Role
Reporting to the Analytics Manager, the Analyst will help shape our marketing strategy by delivering impactful customer targeting and campaign evaluations.
Working closely with the Analytics & Insights team, you’ll ensure our marketing budget is used effectively targeting the right customers with the right propositions at the right time.
You will evaluate campaigns, tell compelling stories with data, and influence stakeholders to drive business growth.
This hands‑on role offers the chance to develop technical skills and stakeholder influence in a supportive, fast‑moving environment.
- What you’ll be doing
- Using SQL and Alteryx as appropriate to extract and manipulate customer data from Databricks in order to understand customer behaviour and target customers for CRM campaigns
- Use SQL and Power BI as appropriate to measure the effectiveness of those CRM campaigns, effectively communicating levels in confidence in those results and ongoing campaign recommendations.
- Own the end‑to‑end campaign targeting and measurement process, working closely with the CRM team to produce initial audience counts, apply eligibility criteria and suppressions, confirm final volumes, and establish robust test and control groups.
- Work with CRM team to develop an understanding of which targeting strategies have been the most effective, test and learn to evolve our understanding and share ongoing proactive ideas and suggestions
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management by proactively communicating progress, opportunities, risks and changes in audience volumes to stakeholders throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Demonstrate strong campaign management expertise. Advise on best practices for end‑ to‑ end SLAs and cross functional process, targeting, suppressions, evaluation, and QA.
- Segment and extract customer data from relational databases for targeting and evaluation. Apply effective QA processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with CRM and Performance Marketing teams to improve personalisation and relevancy.
- Communicate incremental impact of the CRM campaigns, and ongoing recommendations, to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across Marketing and Digital teams, in particular.
- Design and interpret A/B tests and control methodologies.
- Proactively suggest ways to improve efficiency of campaign and measurement processes, automating where possible, decrease risk of error, improve confidence in measurement based recommendations, etc
- The skills & experience that you’ll need
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Proven experience in campaign analytics, including targeting and measurement.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deliver selections and measurement outputs to agreed deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain requirements, progress and analytical findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
- 2+ years in marketing analysis or similar role.
- Proficient in SQL & Excel; Power BI and Alteryx preferred but not essential. Databricks experience preferred but not essential
