We're looking for a commercially driven Senior Online Marketing Manager to lead performance marketing at The White Company, overseeing £8m in digital investment across a multi-category, premium retail business. This is a high-impact role focused on profitable customer growth across the full funnel - from acquisition to retention and reactivation - while balancing brand and performance across channels.
What you'll be doing:
- Own and deliver a data-led, full-funnel performance marketing strategy across paid social, paid search, SEO (including AI-driven search evolution) and affiliates.
- Develop and manage media plans, budgets and forecasts, ensuring delivery against revenue, order and customer targets.
- Define and apply CPO/allowable models, using LTV and MMM insights to optimise investment decisions and channel mix.
- Build and evolve unit economics and commercial models to assess profitability of campaigns, promotions and discount strategies.
- Take accountability for performance KPIs, continuously optimising spend based on ROI, attribution and incrementality insights.
- Optimise investment across acquisition, retention and reactivation, ensuring the right balance of spend across the customer funnel.
- Establish and evolve robust technical setups and data flows to enable cross-channel and cross-funnel targeting, measurement and optimisation.
- Drive channel excellence across Meta, Google, SEO and affiliates, while identifying new opportunities across emerging platforms and markets.
- Lead performance analysis, reporting and forecasting, translating data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Own a structured testing roadmap, embedding a test-and-learn culture to unlock efficiencies and scalable growth.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, while managing third-party agency partners to deliver best-in-class execution.
- Collaborate with CRM, Brand, Ecommerce and Retail teams to align marketing investment with wider business priorities.
What skills & experience you'll need:

Experience:
- 7+ years' marketing experience in Direct-to-Consumer or Ecommerce retail, managing large-scale performance marketing budgets (£5m-£10m+).
- Proven success leading digital performance strategies across paid social, paid search, affiliates, and SEO.
- Strong understanding of CPA and allowable models, customer targeting, lifetime value (LTV), and profitability.
- Experience running Meta and Google campaigns in-house and managing agency partners effectively.
- Background in multi-category, own-brand retail preferred.
- Familiarity with founder-led or premium brand environments advantageous.
Capabilities:
- Advanced analytical and numerical capability, with proficiency in advertising platforms (Meta, Google Ads, Pinterest, TikTok, Affiliate networks) and key reporting systems and tools (Power BI, Excel, Adobe Analytics).
- Ability to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations from data.
- Experience designing and executing structured testing and optimisation frameworks.
- Expertise in forecasting and budget management to align marketing investment with business outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Digital, Brand, and Retail functions to deliver cohesive customer growth strategies.
- Ability to present clear, data-backed recommendations that build stakeholder confidence in marketing performance, budget allocation, and commercial decision-making.
