Our Role: The Digital Designer is responsible for executing the design of seasonal campaigns and features, as well as refining and developing the user journey. Working with the Digital Design Manager to ensure the campaigns translate consistently across web, social, editorial and marketing departments. With a strong understanding of retail and brand, the Digital Designer will focus on responsive e-com, ensuring the website reflects and enhances The White Company values, and optimises the presentation of The White Company (and Little White Company) brand online.
What you'll be doing:
- Take creative direction from the Digital Design Manager and, as an active member of the digital design team, contribute ideas and solutions that enhance both the creative process and the final output.
- Support the delivery of both project-based and BAU design tasks - such as weekly homepage refreshes, product launches, promotional banners, and trading updates.
- Create engaging social media stories and motion assets using After Effects, aligned with campaign messaging and brand tone.
- Produce and artwork a range of digital marketing assets (e.g. display banners & affiliate assets), ensuring all output meets brand and quality standards.
- Active design role in refining and developing the customer journey, working with responsive wire-frames to design and implement enhancements to the site.
- Demonstrate the highest design standards and motivate others to display the same.
- Responsible for the design work briefed by the Online trading team, to be executed to the aggressive timescales required in a fast moving retail environment.
- Adapt designs to country specific requirements, ensuring all components are supporting the seamless customer journey to checkout.
- Provide design support to Senior Digital Designer, and a proactive approach to daily design process.
- Have good understanding of e-commerce and digital design process including the back-end systems and functionality.
- Constantly maintain awareness of new trends in design, on and off-line, and how these can be appropriately applied to the brand. Capture and share with colleagues.
- Manage deadlines effectively, ensuring conceptual work is completed in time for production.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing speed with attention to detail, and communicating progress clearly across teams.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant retail online experience preferably within a lifestyle retail brand.
- Proficient in Figma for creating responsive design systems and reusable components.
- Solid experience and understanding of responsive design across mobile and desktop.
- Medium-level experience in After Effects to create animations, transitions, or rich digital content.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong layout, typography, and image-editing abilities.
- Mid Level of understanding of wireframing, UX, end to end customer journey.
- Pixel perfect design & attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker.
- Abundance of new ideas and energy, break the rules and push boundaries.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS to enable a strong working relationship with the developers.
- Up-to-date knowledge of technology, awareness of mobile and touch devices.
