About the Role

The People Team Coordinator is the foundation of our People function's day-to-day operations, providing essential administrative support that keeps Whisper's employee experience running seamlessly.

Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will own core administrative tasks across the employee lifecycle, help maintain accurate people data and be a friendly, reliable first point of contact for employee queries.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is organised, people-oriented and eager to build a career in HR and People.

You will gain broad exposure to all areas of the People function in a fast-paced, creative sports and entertainment business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including coordinating paperwork, right-to-work checks, induction logistics and leaver administration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in BambooHR, supporting data entry and record-keeping across the employee lifecycle.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine People queries, triaging and escalating to the People Operations Manager/People Partner where needed.
  • Assist with payroll preparation by gathering, checking and collating data prior to submission by the People Operations Manager.
  • Administer absence, leave and probation records, prompting managers and keeping trackers current.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, liaising with external providers and employees to manage scheduling and communications.
  • Help maintain People policies, the employee handbook and internal People Team Trackers, flagging updates required to the People Operations Manager/People Partner.
  • Assist with pulling standard people reports and dashboards from BambooHR as directed.
  • Support the recruitment process, including job postings, interview setups and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires. Contribute to organising company recruitment events to attract talent.
  • Support ad-hoc People projects and initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an administrative, coordinator or People/HR support role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A discreet, professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable picking up new systems quickly; any HRIS experience is a bonus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a warm, approachable manner.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in building a career in People or HR.
  • Any HR/People CPD is desirable but not essential.

The base for this position is Kew, London.

Working Days:

5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH

Start:

ASAP – on a permanent contract
