We are looking for an experienced Development Researcher to join our fast-paced in-house Business Development team in Kew. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating visually compelling pitch decks across our multi-genre slate - in Sport, Branded, Docs, and Entertainment. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm for the process of building decks and generating original ideas. A background working in a development team, responding to briefs and RFPs is essential, alongside excellent writing skills, a keen eye for design, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Keynote.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Business Development team in creating pitch decks for the Docs and Ents teams, as well as responding to tenders for major international sports production and branded contracts.
- Contribute to project development through research, meeting coordination, drafting project plans, and presenting outlines to the team.
- Research and gather information from content experts across the company to produce insightful, high-quality pitch decks.
- Stay up to date with the sports industry and evolving design landscape, particularly emerging AI tools.
- Write compelling, persuasive copy that showcases Whisper’s credentials and responds effectively to RFPs/ITTs.
- Identify and help resolve issues that arise during the development process.
- Contribute creative and editorial ideas across Sport, Branded, Docs, and Entertainment, including visual and picture research.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Proven ability to translate creative ideas into structured pitch documents and written treatments.
- Strong team player, able to prioritise workloads and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Comfortable collaborating across the wider Whisper Group, including content and management leads, and working closely with senior Business Development stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong research skills, with the ability to source and compile archive materials, including stills and content for pitch films and decks.
- High standard of written English, with strong attention to spelling and grammar.
- Strong design sensibility, with experience in Keynote preferred and working knowledge of Photoshop desirable.
- Confident presenting ideas and responding to briefs under pressure.
- Able to manage varied workloads, prioritise effectively, and deliver to deadlines while adapting to change.
- Solid knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, sport, documentaries, entertainment, and TV production in the UK and globally.
Location: Kew, London.
Working Days: Five-day week, with four days in the office and one day working from home. Some flexibility is required, including occasional weekend work depending on production needs. Lieu days will be given for any additional days worked. Flexitime is available, subject to production requirements.
Start date: ASAP on a 6-month FTC
