We are looking for an experienced Edit Assistant to join our busy Documentaries team. The successful candidate will bring a flexible range of skills to our post‑production operations, supporting teams and shows across offline services, technical areas and turnover.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing Offline Services such as media management, rushes logs, ingest and grouping/syncing.
- Providing Finishing Support Services such as conforming, media management, editing change management and turnover.
- Day‑to‑day edit and technical support.
- On‑boarding of new team members to the docs projects and workflows.
- Running and maintaining review sessions when required.
- Assisting in managing and maintaining our LTO backup and media management services.
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as an Edit Assistant on HETV or feature‑length content.
- Broad understanding of post‑production workflows and pipelines.
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, including productions.
- Experience ingesting and syncing large amounts of footage, including 8K, 6K, drone and archive.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to stay calm, clear, and methodical under pressure.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for creative storytelling.
- Familiarity with LTO backup systems and media management is a plus.
Location: Kew, London. Working day: 5‑day week, based in the Kew office. This role will require a degree of flexibility and possibly weekend working. The team will work on a schedule based on production requirements. Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five‑day work week. Whisper offers the option of flexitime hours, subject to production requirements.
Start: ASAP on 3‑month FTC, with a view to extend. Salary: Based on experience. Application closing: Friday 8th May 2026.
