The Whippet is opening. A brand-new pub just a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station, built around one simple idea: exceptionally well-kept cask ale and perfectly poured pints. We’re a relatively small site, but with a huge opportunity. Thanks to our location, we’re expecting serious volume from day one, and we’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead the charge.
This role is for someone who genuinely cares about the small stuff — cellar standards, line cleaning, pint quality, atmosphere, music, service and making regulars feel at home. Someone who leads from the floor, not the office. You’ll likely be heading up a small team of people who share a real passion for good beer and proper pubs.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous management experience preferred
- Strong cask ale knowledge
- Proven cellar management experience (essential)
- A hands-on leadership style
- Pride in delivering consistently excellent pints
- Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for hospitality and creating a great local pub feel
If you love pubs, great beer and running busy services properly, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and help shape The Whippet from day one.
