Salary: SCP 27 - 30 (£36,749 - £40,680) per annum

Contract: Temporary

Work pattern: 35 hours Monday – Friday (excluding lunch breaks)

About the role

The Lowther Agent role is a customer-focused property management position that delivers residential and commercial letting, factoring, income collection, repairs management and compliance services on behalf of Lowther Homes. The role is centred on providing a high-quality customer experience, taking ownership of issues, and delivering "right first time" solutions while balancing customer needs with business objectives.

The role manages the full letting process, including marketing properties, conducting viewings, assessing applications, coordinating repairs, managing tenancy sign-ups and supporting neighbourhood management. The role also involves working closely with owners, contractors and internal teams to deliver factoring services, oversee property maintenance and ensure legislative compliance.

A significant focus is placed on income collection, minimising arrears, resolving customer enquiries and complaints, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, alongside a commercial awareness that supports business growth and service improvement. Overall, the position aims to achieve excellent customer outcomes while delivering strong operational and financial performance for the business.

Who are we looking for?

A strong customer focus and a passion for delivering excellent service, with the ability to build positive relationships and achieve great outcomes for customers. They will have experience in property management, residential lettings or a similar customer-facing environment, and be confident managing a varied workload while working to performance targets. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use their own initiative to find practical solutions. They will be organised, resilient and adaptable, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and a commitment to continuous improvement. A positive “Think Yes” attitude, excellent time management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, customers and partners are essential. A recognised letting qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, would be advantageous.
