We have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our EPIC team at Canopy London City. Reporting to the People and Culture Assistant Manager, the People & Culture Coordinator will play a key role providing support to the people operations of the hotel and the day-to-day running of our vibrant People and Culture department, focusing on the entire employee experience from onboarding, induction, engagement, recruitment & retention, training & development, and well-being.
About the role
- Champion the company culture, ensuring that all brand elements are integrated into the employee lifecycle.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all colleagues within the hotel, assisting with inquiries or arranging for a People & Culture team member to assist where applicable.
- Maintain all administrative duties, keeping them up to date and legally compliant.
- Support all recruitment and selection activities.
- Drive our training and development culture for all employees.
- Work closely with the management team to embed our Canopy culture playbook.
- Coordinate engagement and well-being activities.
- Build positive relationships with local schools, colleges, and universities.
- Support the management of our HR/Payroll systems.
- Communicate responsive and proactively with all stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team or independently.
About you
- We are seeking a motivated HR enthusiast who truly enjoys working with people.
- You’ll be a fast learner, adaptable, and passionate about fostering a fun, inclusive, and engaging workplace.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, but a positive attitude and a love for creating great employee experiences are what matter most!
- Maintain an optimistic outlook in all situations.
- Proficient in written English with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Great attention to detail.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
