ResponsibilitiesA DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT CUSTOMER SALES MANAGER (Maternity Cover) AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY:
- Reporting to Customer Sales Manager.
- Deliver consistency of high level of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of both internal and external customers and maximize the financial performance of the hotel.
- Ensure maximum occupancy and average room rate is achieved at all times by efficient up selling and cross selling of the hotel facilities.
- Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relevant pricing decisions on property performance.
- Ensure all new booking enquiries are dealt with a prompt and professional manner in accordance with brand standards.
- Be fully conversant with Marriott group and individual reservations procedure and systems.
- Ensure that rooms are sold to the correct market segment, depending on availability in order to maximise occupancy and average room rate so as to achieve budgeted targets.
- Ensure the Customer Sales team members are trained to meet the required standards.
- Complete other projects when required.
- Assist Customer Sales Manager in development, implementation and monitoring of commercial plans of the hotel.
- Ensure all telephone calls are answered and handled in a timely manner and in accordance with the brand standards.
- Deal with any complaints pertaining to bookings, cancellations, non-arrivals, late cancellations.
- Carry out regular appraisals for all Customer Sales associates.

- Enthusiastic self-motivated person with excellent written and verbal communication skills and team spirit.
- Strong guest focus and ability to work towards business goals.
- Minimum 2 years of managerial experience is essential.
- Experience in a similar role in Marriott is preferable.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
