Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with experience in injection moulding? The role is critical in driving the development and optimisation of our manufacturing process.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer – Injection Moulding Specialist, you will be at the forefront of developing, optimising, and implementing high-performance manufacturing processes. From introducing new equipment and technologies to refining existing systems, your work will directly impact product quality, efficiency, and scalability.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing projects with a focus on injection moulding.
- Evaluate and introduce new manufacturing capabilities including tooling design, automation, and equipment selection.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth transitions from development to production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including PFMEAs, work instructions, SOPs, and validation reports.
- Use root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators and drive process improvements based on data.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field – or an indentured apprenticeship background.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with strong emphasis on injection moulding.
- Proven experience in tooling design, moulding parameters, and materials.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and/or manufacturing simulation tools is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
