Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the Apprentice Inspector will support the Quality and Inspection team in ensuring products and processes meet required standards. This role offers hands-on training in inspection techniques, quality control, measurement tools, and industry regulations. This opportunity will be completed alongside the Level 4 Quality Practitioner Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with visual, dimensional, and functional inspections
- Learn to use inspection equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Accurately record inspection results
- Maintain inspection tools and work areas
- Follow health & safety and quality standards
- Participate in training and apprenticeship assessments
- Communicate quality concerns and support improvement activities
Skills & Experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable with measurements and basic IT
- Reliable, proactive, and keen to build a career in quality/inspection
