Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a kitchen team to prepare and cook a range of dishes to menu specifications.
  • Assist senior chefs with food preparation and ensure all food is prepared and served to a high standard of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas; follow all food safety and health regulations.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a commis chef or similar role in a hotel or restaurant with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Willingness to continually develop culinary skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions from senior chefs.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, adherence to food safety regulations, and proper use of kitchen equipment and cleaning products.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
