The Opportunity
Seven currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Camera Operator/Editor to join our dynamic and talented News Team in Rockhampton. We are looking for someone who possesses a high level of creativity and a camera/editing style consistent with metropolitan television.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the News Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for filming segments and stories in various locations and aerial footage. In addition, this position will also support with editing segments and stories.
What You’ll Bring
You will be an experienced Camera Operator/Editor with a drive and passion for high production quality standards and the ability to think clearly, communicate, and act quickly under pressure requiring minimal supervision. You will be an exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form credible, productive relationships with Reporters and Producers. You'll also bring:
- Experience in News and on-air operations.
- A willingness to travel at short notice to cover breaking news.
- An unrestricted manual driver’s licence.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours. This position may require some on-call/out of hours work.
