We are looking for a bright, bubbly and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join our team here at The Wendy House Day Nursery. We have two sites throughout Birmingham, one in Wythall and one in Lickey. We are excited to be expanding our team at our Chapel Lane, Wythall setting due to increasing numbers. We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Over 2’s Manager to work alongside our current Manager, who oversees the Under 2’s provision. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing setting and play a key role in shaping the learning and development of our older children.

The position is for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. As our current Manager works 07:30–16:30, we are looking for someone who can start later and finish later, ensuring strong leadership presence across the full day. Our priority is to provide a safe, secure environment where children can thrive. About Us

The Wendy House Day Nursery are a ‘GOOD’ Ofsted rate setting. We have three nursery settings throughout Birmingham, two located in Wythall and one in Lickey. We are currently building a strong reputation with families and within the nursery industry, for delivering high quality early years education. We’ve even won a prestigious award!

Essential

  • At least 3 years experience in nursery management
  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification as a minimum

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the nursery setting. This role requires working in collaboration with others and taking responsibility for working in line with regulatory requirements and following setting policies and procedures.
  • Providing leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Being responsible for the smooth running of the nursery, always ensuring high quality care and education.
  • Providing leadership to the team and providing guidance and support to all staff.
  • Working closely with parents and families, to continue building strong relationships.
  • Working with colleagues and other professionals to make sure that children’s needs are met.
  • Recruiting and inducting suitably qualified and experienced staff.
  • Ensuring the nursery remains Ofsted compliant.
  • To have a good knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Attend training and meetings as when required.
  • Any other appropriate duties as and when required.

The post holder may be required to perform other duties than those listed in the role profile for this post. Duties and responsibilities of the post may vary from time to time without changing the general duties or level of responsibility.

Successful applicants must be able to provide documentary evidence of any childcare qualification(s) and your right to live and work in the UK. Employment with The Wendy House Day Nursery is also dependant on two satisfactory references and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

We offer a 20% employee discount on childcare within the nursery settings.
