We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join a team at a luxury wellness retreat. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the retreat, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the wider team across hospitality, wellness, and operational functions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wellbeing, hospitality, and providing outstanding service in a calm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve any guest issues efficiently and professionally
- Support the delivery of wellness programmes, activities, and events
- Oversee daily operations across the retreat including reception, wellness areas, accommodation, and facilities
- Manage shift operations and ensure smooth service delivery
- Coordinate with different departments including spa, housekeeping, kitchen, and wellness practitioners
- Supervise and support team members during shifts
- Support training and onboarding of new team members
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Carry out routine checks of facilities and report any maintenance issues
- Act as the responsible manager on duty during shifts
- Support booking systems, guest records, and daily reporting
- Monitor guest feedback and assist with continuous service improvements
- Assist management with operational tasks and reporting where required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Hospitality Supervisor, or Front of House Management role
- Experience within hospitality, wellness, spa, retreat, or boutique hotel environments preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for wellbeing, mindfulness, and guest experience
