Job Overview
We’re looking for a Business Psychologist with a strong background in learning and development to join our team. You’ll use your expertise to design and deliver impactful learning experiences across face-to-face workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning. You will combine business psychological insight with instructional design best practice to drive behavioural change and performance improvement across client organisations.
You’ll work closely with clients to understand their challenges and develop impactful learning content grounded in evidence-based psychology.
You’ll play a key role in shaping content that supports wellbeing, resilience and leadership development. You will also facilitate workshops with our clients. This role is perfect for someone who understands how people learn and grow, and who’s passionate about creating engaging, meaningful training that makes a real difference.
To be successful in this role, you must have hands-on experience in designing learning content for all levels within a corporate environment. A good understanding of eLearning module creation and LMS platforms and tools will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Content Development
- Design engaging, evidence-based learning content that blends behavioural science with instructional design.
- Lead the design of micro-learning content and write clear, strategic briefs for external e-learning development partners.
- Take ownership of our digital learning offer, ensuring content is engaging, evidence-based, and aligned with our standards and values.
- Continuously improve programmes based on learner data, feedback, and business impact metrics.
Client Consulting & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with clients to identify learning needs and develop tailored L&D strategies.
- Guide organisations in creating psychologically safe learning cultures that support wellbeing and performance.
Facilitation & Delivery
- Deliver high-quality learning experiences virtually and in person, from team workshops to leadership programmes.
- Support clients in embedding learning through post-training tools, nudges and habit-building approaches.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
- Stay at the forefront of workplace learning trends, learning technologies, and applied psychology.
- Contribute thought leadership through articles and public speaking.
Collaboration & Commercial Contribution
- Provide psychological and L&D input into business development efforts, proposals, and client pitches.
- Partner internally on innovation projects to enhance The Wellbeing Project’s digital learning capabilities.

Key Skills and Experience Required
Qualifications
- A Masters Degree in Psychology
- CIPD L&D qualifications are advantageous
L&D & Digital Learning Expertise
- Strong instructional design skills with an understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement in the corporate environment.
- An understanding of how to design effective digital learning, with experience working with LMS to deliver engaging learner experiences.
Psychological Insight
- Deep understanding of business psychology, behaviour change, resilience, leadership, and wellbeing in workplace contexts.
- Ability to translate psychological concepts into practical learning content for audiences of different levels in organisations.
Facilitation & Communication
- Confident facilitator across virtual and face-to-face environments.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, from HR leaders to senior executives.
Client Partnership
- Experience working with mid-to-large organisations in a consulting or L&D capacity.
- Skilled at managing relationships and delivering high client satisfaction.
