We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help us with upcoming and future events, such as pamper evenings, fairs, group occasions and networking.

What are we looking for?

Skills & Experience Required

  • Interest in events and organisation.
  • Ideally we are looking for volunteers with at least three years of professional experience in one or more of our key skills areas, however training and support will be offered to all volunteers as part of the role so all levels of existing experience, skills and knowledge is always welcome!
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • People orientated and approachable, familiar with hosting and liaising with contacts.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities And Duties

  • To provide an annual plan of events in conjunction with the Operations Director and the Management Committee
  • To provide a plan for each event including;
  • Finding a suitable venue
  • Preparing a floor plan
  • Requesting funds for any required purchases for equipment or other essentials
  • Organising advertising such as flyers, social media, adverts in local papers
  • Requesting volunteers and stall holders etc. for the event
  • Ensuring payments have been made for stalls
  • Liaising with other organisations for joint events
  • Ensuring there is a Risk Assessment for each event
  • Obtaining suitable prizes for Tombola and Raffles and other competitions
  • Obtaining contents for goody bags
  • Requesting funding where required from the Operations Director for specific projects
  • Banking income from events
  • Occasionally attending Management Committee meetings
  • Support organisers of the Pamper Evenings
  • Complying with any legal obligations
  • Ensuring the event is covered under Insurance provisions.
