The Well is a warm, welcoming, barista-style coffee shop that also functions as a hub for the local community in West Auckland. We house the local Trussell Trust Food bank and offer space for partners providing services such as debt advice, support for rape and sexual abuse survivors, employability advice, substance misuse harm reduction, and more. The Well is a ministry of West Auckland Vineyard Church.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Food Bank – Packer at The Well in West Auckland. You would volunteer with us for 2 hours or more a week, between 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
The Packer will be responsible for organizing and packing food parcels for distribution, maintaining inventory records, ensuring food safety and storage standards are met, and assisting with the setup and cleanup of the food bank area. The role also involves working collaboratively with other volunteers and staff members to ensure smooth operation.
