Medical Receptionist – Join Our Exceptional Team at The Welby Practice. This isn’t your ordinary reception job. At The Welby Practice, you’ll be the friendly face our patients see first—and a vital part of keeping our practice running smoothly behind the scenes. If you’re organised, proactive, and enjoy variety, this role could be perfect for you. We're looking for a full time receptionist to work at all 3 sites, Bottesford, Harlaxton and Waltham.
What you’ll do:
- Welcome and support patients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage appointments, patient enquiries, and messages
- Assist with administrative tasks such as workflow management, scanning, handling patient letters, and results follow-up
- Call patients to advise on results or schedule follow-up appointments
- Handle samples and associated paperwork
- Liaise with clinical teams, multidisciplinary colleagues, and external agencies
Your working hours:
- 5 days per week, Monday to Friday
- 7.5 hours per day, between 08:00–18:30, to cover opening and closing times.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in customer service or administration, face-to-face and over the phone
- IT literate (Microsoft Office experience a bonus)
- Experience with SystmOne preferred
- Excellent communication skills, friendly, professional, and organised
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Team player willing to flex hours and duties to cover holidays and sickness
- Post subject to satisfactory DBS check
- Own transport essential for this role.
