About Welby Innovate

At Welby Innovate, we're passionate about making primary care better through smart, practical technology. We work with general practices across the UK to improve clinical systems, streamline processes and help healthcare teams deliver more efficient patient care.

Our solutions integrate with SystmOne to help practices work smarter, reduce administrative pressures and embrace new ways of working.

We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Innovation Support Specialist to join our small, collaborative team. This is an opportunity to combine your knowledge of general practice and SystmOne with your passion for technology, training and continuous improvement.

About the Role

You'll play an important role in supporting practices as they join Welby Innovate, helping them get the most from our systems and ensuring they feel confident using our solutions.

Working closely with clients and colleagues, you'll deliver practical training, troubleshoot issues and help identify opportunities to improve the way our systems work. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, influence how our services develop and make a real difference to primary care teams across the UK.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and helping others embrace change.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting new clients: Guide practices through onboarding, act as their main point of contact and hold regular project check-ins to ensure a smooth introduction to Welby Innovate.

  • Delivering training: Provide engaging, practical training to clinical and administrative teams, adapting your approach to suit different levels of experience.

  • Providing technical support: Respond to queries, troubleshoot issues and help practices use our systems effectively.

  • Building relationships: Work closely with practices and colleagues to understand challenges and provide practical solutions.

  • Driving improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise systems, improve processes and enhance the client experience.

  • Supporting change: Help practices adopt new systems and ways of working with confidence.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with strong SystmOne knowledge who understands the realities of working in general practice and enjoys helping others improve the way they work.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Demonstrable experience using SystmOne within general practice or a primary care setting.

  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within general practice or clinical systems support.

  • Experience supporting or implementing change management.

  • Experience delivering training and supporting users with different levels of technical knowledge.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding solutions.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.

  • A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to share ideas and contribute to a growing team.

Desirable experience:

  • Advanced SystmOne knowledge, including reporting, SNOMED coding and system automation.

  • Familiarity with Welby Innovate systems and services.

What We Offer

We believe in creating a working environment where people feel supported, valued and able to do their best work.

  • 36 days' annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata for part-time hours).

  • Contractual sick pay, in accordance with our policy.

  • Up to three days' paid bereavement leave, in accordance with our policy.

  • Flexible and remote working options, with the freedom to work from home, in person or a combination of both.

  • Competitive salary, based on your experience and knowledge.

  • Workplace pension scheme.
  • The opportunity to join a small, growing team where your ideas, experience and contribution genuinely matter.

Why Join Welby Innovate?

We're a small but growing team with big ambitions for the future of primary care.

We work closely together, bounce ideas off one another and learn from each other's experience. Everyone brings something different to the table, and we value people who are willing to share their knowledge, challenge the way things are done and help us find better solutions.

You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with practices across the UK, contribute your own ideas and play an active role in developing a growing business. This isn't simply a role where you'll be answering queries and delivering training; you'll be part of a team working together to make a genuine difference to how primary care operates.

If you enjoy variety, take pride in helping others and want to be part of a supportive team where collaboration and innovation go hand in hand, we'd love to hear from you.
