Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, we are delighted to introduce The Welbeck Hotel, located in the heart of Marylebone. Previously Holiday Inn London Oxford Circus, The Welbeck Hotel offers an upscale boutique feel to all 164 bedrooms that matches theclassic 19th century architecture.

We are currently looking for a reservations manager. You will be an important part of the Hotel Leadership Team maximising all revenue opportunities through execution of all sales strategies, delivering the right rates for the right rooms at the right times. You are the first person our guests speak to on the phone and so you provide guests with a warm welcome and a great first impression. You will manage all of the reservations and revenue systems and lead the development of a committed empowered team.

Every day is different, but youll mostly be:

Using the tools providedand in compliance with the IHG standards, maintain, update and share information in the areas of competitor rate intelligence, Rev Par penetration (RGI), arrival and spending patterns of commercial accounts, denial reports, meeting space allocation, guest capture rates and a master calendar of external events.

Analysis of loyalty program penetration both overall and by account (and for bookers), system contribution and trends in rooms and non-rooms revenues by channel, segment and account.

Monitor competitor pricing, understand the dynamic of the local market and the demand generators, and recommend appropriate actions in relation to the hotels pricing and market mix strategy

Attendweekly revenue meetings with General Manager, DOS, Reservations, Front Office Manager and generate reports and analyses needed for these meetings, displaying key facts/trends etc.

Responsible for tracking and analysing of booking pace, group wash, cut off enforcement for groups as well as denied and regretted business

Approve and/or implement sell strategies for all group proposals on any one night, and collaborate with the DOS on setting group and conference rates.

Manage use of IHG revenue systems on a daily basis.

Manage all channels (CRO, GDS, Internet direct and indirect) including but not limited to room types and sell strategy. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Best Price Guarantee and managing third party distributors in compliance with IHG standards and rules).

Maintain relations with outside contacts including colleagues in a similar role, OTA account managers, corporate bookers, others as needed.

What are we looking for?

At least 3 years experience in reservations, ideally in full service hotels and have strong administrative, communication and computing skills.

Previous experience with Opera PMS an advantage as well as IHG revenue systems.

You go out of your way to ensure our guests have a great experience and get to learn about and discover our neighbourhood.

Spoken and written English skills including: ability to read, analyse and interpret documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
