Domain Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing the overall successful delivery of products within the Domain, coordinating across product teams, and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Product delivery leads manage the resources and drive efficient execution to deliver high-quality products.

Purpose of Role

Domain Delivery Lead is accountable for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and aligning with key business stakeholders to ensure that product requirements are met. They oversee resource allocation, including assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are achieved. Additionally, they are responsible for mitigating risks, resolving issues, and maintaining overall quality and efficiency in product delivery processes. The Domain Delivery Lead plays a crucial role in driving successful outcomes and end-user satisfaction through effective communication and collaboration.

Key Outputs / Deliverables

  • Continuously evaluating and refining delivery processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Ensuring that products are delivered within the agreed-upon timelines, meeting end-user expectations and business objectives
  • Facilitating effective collaboration between different product teams, functions, and key stakeholders involved in the product delivery process
  • Reviewing key artefacts to ensure that they are of sufficient quality and end-to-end solution is documented and maintained
  • Identifying and managing potential risks that could impact product delivery, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring contingency plans are in place
  • Efficiently allocating resources, budgets, and tools, to optimise productivity and ensure a successful delivery cycle
  • Management of third parties / implementation partners, including contract / Statement of Work reviews

  • Average time taken from the start to the completion of product delivery to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency

  • Resource utilisation (budget, personnel, and tools, to ensure efficient allocation and maximise productivity)
  • Number of defects or issues encountered in delivered products to evaluate quality control processes

Key Interactions / Stakeholders

  • Collaborating closely with Product Domain Leads to understand product vision, roadmap, and requirements, ensuring alignment between product strategy and delivery activities
  • Interacting with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and analysts, to facilitate collaboration, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth execution of product delivery tasks
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, such as business, architects, and end-users, to gather feedback, provide updates, and manage expectations, ensuring that the delivered product meets their needs and aligns with business objectives
  • Facilitating agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the Domain delivery teams
  • Promoting a culture of learning and improvement by gathering feedback, analysing delivery performance metrics, and implementing iterative changes to enhance the product delivery process

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

  • Functional: Strong understanding of product management principles, Proficiency in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, Ability to engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders, Proficiency in project management principles, including creating project plans, managing timelines, and mitigating risks
  • Technical: Expertise in SAP Finance (across all FICO modules) with good integration knowledge with other SAP modules, Coupa, OneStream and Blackline, Strong understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices, tools, and methodologies, Ability to analyze data, metrics, and performance indicators, Familiarity with quality assurance and testing processes, methodologies, and tools, Proficiency in using and leveraging agile project management tools and technologies, Strong understanding of the technical aspects related to the product being delivered
  • Methodologies: Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, Continuous integration and deployment practices, Quality assurance and testing methodologies
  • Behaviour: Strong leadership skills, Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and dynamic environments, Demonstrating flexibility and resilience in navigating challenges and finding creative solutions, Effective problem-solving skills, Excellent communication skills
