Sales & Marketing Domain Architect United Kingdom, Remote, 40% Travel. Due to frequent stakeholder interaction, this role has a strong preference for UK-based candidates; however, as a global organisation, Weir will consider suitably qualified applicants located in any country where we operate across EMEA/US. Business requirements will determine the final location.
Purpose of Role: Weir’s global SAP S/4HANA transformation is a once-in-a-generation programme establishing the core business platforms that will power the company for the next decade. As a senior leader in this journey, the Product Domain Architect brings deep Sales & Marketing expertise across CRM, digital experience platforms, configurators, and Salesforce, all seamlessly integrated with SAP S/4HANA. Partnering closely with the Product Domain Lead, this role drives the scoping and delivery of key Sales & Marketing capabilities - from lead management and business development to eCommerce, brand, and digital product marketing. The PDA ensures all initiatives are architected with a cross-domain, end-to-end perspective, maintaining strong alignment with Enterprise Architecture and stepping into full domain leadership when required. Designed for a high-calibre transformation expert, this role accelerates Weir’s Sales & Marketing maturity across people, process, and technology, directly enabling strategic outcomes and programme success.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Partnership: Drive Sales & Marketing transformation by partnering with - and deputising for - the Product Domain Lead, leveraging SAP Fit to Standard and Clean Core principles to maximise value across all Sales & Marketing capabilities.
- End to End Capability & Value Stream Ownership: Own and govern the Sales & Marketing Management capabilities and their Enterprise Value Streams, ensuring cross domain alignment and true value driven delivery through close collaboration with other Domain Architects.
- Architecture, Solution Design & Governance: Lead the design and optimisation of Sales & Marketing solutions, translating business needs into scalable architecture; govern the domain roadmap, architectural artefacts, standards, risks, and decisions while ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture.
- Cross Domain Collaboration, Data, Integration & Innovation: Work across architecture teams to ensure coherence, guide solution architects, shape data and integration patterns, maintain strong data governance practices, and drive continuous improvement through awareness of emerging technologies and domain trends.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
- Sales & Marketing Process, Systems & Domain Expertise: Brings deep expertise in designing and optimising end-to-end Sales & Marketing processes - including Brand & Channel Management, Digital & Product Marketing, Comms & Campaigns, and Sales & Order Management - across complex global organisations, with strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Salesforce, Digital Platforms & BPM Capability: Experienced across Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud, Digital Experience Platforms, eCommerce solutions (e.g., Hybris), and Manufacturing Configurators, with working knowledge of BPM methodologies and tooling such as Celonis or Signavio.
- Agile Delivery, Portfolio Management & Cross-Functional Engagement: Proficient in Agile methodologies and portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Atlassian suite), with the ability to communicate, influence, and collaborate across domains, tailoring messaging and approach to diverse senior stakeholders.
- Leadership Mindset, Strategic Thinking & Adaptability: Demonstrates an enterprise-wide, strategic mindset with strong facilitation and communication skills, comfortable leading complex and ambiguous change while constructively challenging and guiding teams toward transformative outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience operating as a Domain Architect within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation, architecting value-driven, enterprise-aligned solutions across complex business domains.
