Job Title: Finance Director – Europe, Middle East & Central Asia
Division: Weir Minerals

Purpose of Role:
The Finance Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Europe, Middle East and Central Asia finance function, developing a high performing team and providing strategic and financial insights to enable the business to achieve its objectives.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include maintaining high levels of financial governance and control, and overseeing the timely preparation of accurate financial reports and analysis as required by company management and regulators. In addition, the Finance Director will be a key strategic partner to the leadership team of the business, leading the preparation of financial plans, which align to the strategy of the business, and driving business performance and providing data driven insights to enable the business to meet its financial and strategic objectives.
Interim role for a period of 12 to 18 months to lead the team through a period of transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial planning & analysis: Provide business leadership with accurate and timely financial information to make strategic, investment and operating decisions.
- Financial reporting & cash management: Oversee all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings including the year-end audit.
- Financial governance and control: Ensure a strong control environment and culture across the business, including maintaining documented accounting policies and procedures and ensuring these are communicated and adhered to.
- Supervision responsibilities, and team management and development: Oversee and lead the Europe, Middle East and Central Asia finance team; providing day-to-day support as required and prioritising the team’s activities to support the needs of the business.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
- Master Degree or Professional Certification preferred.
- Previous experience of working at Finance Director level in a £100m+ revenue business is essential.
- Experience of working in a multi-jurisdiction / international business is also required.
