Here, you will be a key player in ensuring equipment reliability, where you'll dive into reactive repairs and preventive maintenance activities. Help us maintain the reliability and availability of our assets by supporting and executing planned maintenance.
Take the initiative and work with minimal supervision, resolving problems and prioritising support effectively. Utilise your skills in mechanical, electrical, and PLC control engineering to tackle challenges encountered during your shift. Follow our company practices, procedures, and guidelines to ensure health & safety, food safety, and legal compliance are always top of mind.
Oversee external contractors assisting with reactive tasks, ensuring they fully understand and adhere to our company practices and procedures. Familiarise yourself with a variety of engineering assets and demonstrate your ability to work on them. Look for opportunities to enhance the reliability of our assets and improve engineering work processes.
Make good use of the CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management System) to log and review the work you perform. Offer training and support to help transfer basic engineering skills to operator tasks. Engineering Qualification or apprenticeship (HNC or above preferred) IT skills to include the use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems Desirable Skills Engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment.
