The Recipe (About the Role)
This is a technical specialist position where you'll have the exciting opportunity to develop and manage detailed, intricate product specifications for our recipes and packaging. You'll work with both our Branded and own-label customers, ensuring everything is current and accurate!
- Manage product specifications for Retailer Brands, addressing data queries via web-based customer portals.
- Translate internal specifications to meet Retailer requirements.
- Lead changes in product and packaging specifications.
- Maintain accurate internal specifications before transferring data to systems like D365.
- Ensure compliance with BRC and regulatory standards through collaboration with relevant teams.
- Advise Technical Managers on Retailer Brands specifications.
- Keep raw material specifications updated with the Supplier Technical Manager.
- Report packaging data to comply with waste regulations.
The Ingredients (What we need from you)
Key Know How:
- Food industry and FMCG experience.
- Specification writing in a food development and manufacturing environment.
- A good standard of knowledge of recipe and specification building.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience working with various specification software systems for major retailers in the UK (for example Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s).
