The Recipe (About the Role)

The purpose of this role is the effective, productive and safe operation of machinery within the factories ensuring that all Health and Safety policies and Food Safety compliance are followed in line with Standard Operating Procedures. This role will also involve working within a multi-functional team that will mean a requirement to work in all areas of the factory and may require work in other plants. This role should be considered as the first step in your career within Weetabix.

  • Operate machinery per Standard Operating Procedures to ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety compliance
  • Encourage safety practices by providing constructive feedback among peers
  • Report hazards using the T-card system
  • Participate in Risk Assessment reviews as needed
  • Engage in Performance Management through participation in Baton Handovers, Short Interval Control, Team Huddles, and Daily Operations Reviews to improve team KPIs
  • Support Fuel for Growth initiatives through Root Cause Analysis and improvement projects
  • Complete basic machine setup and maintenance after training
  • Utilise basic computer skills, including Office and real-time data capture tools
  • Adhere to 5S principles and participate in factory audits
