Become a valued member of our team at Weetabix as a Project Engineer! We look forward to applications from individuals with an electrical focus and experience in food safety and/or quality. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to execute high-quality, stage-gate-driven projects with precision, while also demonstrating effective financial oversight to ensure that Weetabix Capital funds are used wisely and in accordance with the business's strategic objectives and priorities.
The purpose of this role is:
- Deliver high-quality projects executed flawlessly
- 100% safety record with zero accidents across project delivery
- Adhere to CAPEX budgets with a view to both individual project budgets and overall department/site/company CAPEX budgets
- Ensure the complete delivery of the project scope while avoiding any scope creep
- Forecast and update spend profiles, ensuring accurate financial planning and control
- Prepare and present Project approval presentations for review at up to MD level
- Ensure regular, accurate communication is maintained with all key and relevant stakeholders
- Engage with support functions such as Procurement and Legal to ensure robust procedures are followed
- Follow the Weetabix EEM process for all projects
Requirements:
- Recognised Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Suitable safety qualifications (i.e. SMSTS, FAAW or IOSH)
- Competent with MS Office and standard Engineering applications
- Project Management Qualification, Prince 2, APM etc.
- Experience of working in electrical engineering, Food and/or FMCG
