We are looking for an Engineering Apprentice to join our Weetabix Team.
As an Engineering Apprentice, you will embark on a journey to become a highly skilled engineer by acquiring a diverse range of technical skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience. Through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training, you will support the delivery of innovative engineering solutions and contribute to the success of our projects. This role is designed to prepare you for professional qualifications in engineering and to develop your potential as a future leader in the industry.

The purpose of this role is
- Attend all relevant training and complete required coursework
- Gain hands-on engineering experience working alongside and under the supervision
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge in line with the apprenticeship program
- Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of engineering systems and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance tasks, project progress and outcomes
Requirements
Non-negotiables
- Minimum 5 GCSEs grades 9-4 / A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language or English Literature
- Good IT skills; ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be able to use good communication skills, to build relationships with multiple and diverse teams of people
- Good time management & organisational skills, can manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to work flexibly, adapt to different circumstances and manage workload in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Driven and Self-motivated. Able to work on own initiative, sometimes working under pressure and tight timescales
Training for this role will take place at MTC Training, Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre, in Coventry.
All candidates must be able to make their way to the site for training and at their own expense.
