The Recipe (About the Role)
- Ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe functioning of cleaning operations across our factories by adhering to all Health and Safety regulations and maintaining Food Safety compliance.
- Collaborate with a diverse team, requiring flexibility to work across different areas of the factory.
- 12-hour shifts will be mandatory, including coverage for days, nights, and weekends.
- Maintain factory cleanliness, including production floors, using the 5S system.
- Clean around machinery, removing dust and spills to ensure functionality and audit readiness.
- Assist production teams with ad-hoc cleaning tasks and pallet handling.
- Identify and address cleaning needs proactively without supervision.
- Follow health and safety guidelines for cleaning, including proper chemical use and machine isolation (SILT) understanding.
- Safely collect and dispose of waste materials in compliance with environmental standards.
- Adhere to company cleaning procedures and report issues to the Shift Manager; complete required training and participate in team huddles.
- Participate in risk assessment reviews as needed.

- Understanding of basic health and safety procedures in a factory setting, particularly in a dusty or manufacturing environment.
- Able to identify tasks independently and take initiative to ensure the factory remains clean and safe.
- Must be able to work long shifts (12 hours) and handle physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic Food Hygiene CIEH Certificated.
