The Recipe (About the Role)

In this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening the capability of our Sales and Commercial Finance teams, enabling clearer ownership of profit and loss, better use of data, and more defined revenue decisions. You'll own the implementation of our Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system, identify opportunities to optimise costs, and ensure our tools and processes are fit for a digitally enabled, artificial intelligence (AI)-ready future. Collaborating with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and our Data Sprint Team, you'll enhance decision-making quality, speed, and consistency while ensuring strong financial discipline. Over the next three to five years, you'll help drive modern work methods, leveraging automated data, analytics, and AI to support sustainable, profitable growth.

  • Build commercial capability by upskilling Sales and Commercial Finance teams to strengthen understanding of key profit and loss (P&L) drivers and improve decision-making.
  • Embed new tools and ways of working, own the rollout of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) software and drive adoption across National Account Managers (NAMs), Demand Planning and Commercial Finance.
  • Improve customer profitability by supporting teams to optimise product mix, trade spend, promotions, distribution and pack formats.
  • Identify and implement savings across product design, trade investment, packaging formats and supply chain to deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Enhance data and reporting. Partner with Information Technology (IT) and data teams to improve data accuracy, accessibility and automation.
  • Strengthen financial control - improve debt and deductions processes through clear key performance indicators (KPIs) and governance.
  • Future-proof capability, ensure tools, frameworks and systems are simple, scalable and aligned to business strategy.

The Ingredients (What we need from you)

  • Display commercial or finance capability, ideally within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
  • Experience in pricing, trade spend, customer profit and loss (P&L), and revenue management approaches.
  • Know how to analyse commercial data, including electronic point of sale (EPOS), shopper insights, promotional performance, and financial reports.
  • Able to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Have excellent digital and systems literacy, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools.
  • Clear communication, facilitation, and training skills, engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
