The Role As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a branch team, overseeing clinical standards, mentoring colleagues, and driving practice growth. Key responsibilities include: Supporting and mentoring less experienced vets and encouraging their development. Leading team meetings to ensure smooth and effective communication. Providing clinical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of veterinary care. Collaborating with the nursing team to support day-to-day operations. Overseeing branch development and contributing to business growth. Participating in senior leadership meetings to help shape the practice’s future. The role includes a mix of sole charge days at a smaller branch and working within a larger team at the main site. Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking a vet with a strong clinical background and a passion for leadership. You should be: Experienced in small animal practice and confident in your clinical skills. A natural leader who enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues. Committed to delivering high standards of clinical and client care. Organised and proactive, with strong decision-making skills. A team player who leads by example, promoting a collaborative and respectful workplace. Confident in surgery (preferred but not essential). What’s On Offer?
