Location: Moor Hall Hotel & Spa, Sutton Coldfield.

Operational Responsibility: Managing the onsite laundry at Moor Hall Hotel & Spa, together with delivering a linen service for our two sister hotels in Lichfield (The Best Western George Hotel & The Cathedral Hotel).

Reports To: Moor Hall General Manager.

Job Purpose: The Group Hotel Laundry Manager is responsible for the effective management of the laundry, overseeing the processing, inventory control, distribution, and quality assurance of all linen for 3 hotels. The postholder will ensure that all hotels receive the required linen stock levels to agreed standards while maintaining operational efficiency, cost control, and exceptional service standards. The role will require some travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the hotel laundry facility.
  • Ensure all linen is processed efficiently and to agreed quality standards.
  • Maintain appropriate production schedules to meet the needs of all three hotel properties.
  • Monitor laundry productivity, turnaround times, and service performance.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Linen distribution to support occupancy levels and operational demand.
  • Inventory control.
  • Team management including recruitment, training and rotas.
  • Manage departmental budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.

Person Specification:

  • Preferred experience managing / supervising laundry and housekeeping operations.
  • Experience managing a small team in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Knowledge of commercial laundry systems and linen management.
  • Strong organisational and inventory management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Budget management and cost-control experience.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs, including some weekend work.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between Moor Hall Hotel and the two Lichfield hotel locations.
  • Understanding of health and safety, COSHH, and compliance requirements.
