Responsibilities include providing a balanced and broad curriculum that promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. You will give access to the National Curriculum, provide opportunities for external accreditation, and for those pupils with specific learning difficulties, effective and personalised programmes. It is essential to ensure all pupils are supported to develop positive attitudes towards themselves and others, promote emotional well-being and self-esteem, help pupils to recognise their potential, and work positively within their community. Respecting all pupils and encouraging them to become active participants in their own learning, developing confidence, independence, self-esteem, and expressing their needs and desires is crucial. You will seek effective and positive working relationships with pupils' families, schools, and other agencies to enable effective outcomes for our pupils.

Candidate Profile: We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and committed Teacher for our new complex needs class. The successful applicant will embody our Trust values and demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education. They will have proven experience of working with young people with SEND and be able to evidence the delivery of highly bespoke curricula that meet the individual needs of learners with complex needs. A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs, alongside the ability to adapt teaching approaches to ensure progress, engagement, and wellbeing, is essential. Our ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, boundless patience and resilience, and the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with pupils who have a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Trust: We provide education for vulnerable pupils aged 4-19 across Devon and Cornwall. The Trust is dedicated to safeguarding children, and Safer Recruitment Procedures will be followed. The position requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS check, and we may carry out an online check.
