About the Role

As a Camp Team Member, you’ll be at the heart of our overnight guest experience – creating warm welcomes, maintaining high standards across our safari tent accommodation and helping guests feel right at home in the outdoors. From check-in to check-out, housekeeping to host moments, you’ll play a key role in delivering memorable stays that reflect the spirit of The Wave and our connection to nature.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering consistently high standards of customer service for all camp guests
  • Managing guest arrivals and departures, including check-ins and check-outs using booking systems
  • Supporting guest luggage delivery and assisting with on-site orientation
  • Confidently delivering engaging welcome talks to set guests up for their stay
  • Developing a strong knowledge of The Wave site, sessions, wave settings and experiences
  • Proactively promoting surf sessions, experiences and repeat bookings
  • Carrying out regular tent visits to check in with guests and resolve issues early
  • Completing basic tent upkeep and reporting maintenance issues to managers
  • Preparing and restocking tent consumables (e.g. logs, toiletries, consumables)
  • Monitoring inventory levels within tents and storage areas
  • Working collaboratively with other departments including Surf Operations, Retail and Food & Beverage

Housekeeping Responsibilities

  • Carrying out changeover cleans of safari tent accommodation
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Preparing cleaning carts and restocking consumables
  • Organising and preparing linen
  • Completing stock takes of linen, cleaning supplies and consumables
  • Using internal systems and apps to log completed tasks and changeovers
  • Consistently meeting departmental KPIs and quality standards

Standards & Health and Safety

  • Working to The Wave standards and SOPs at all times
  • Demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Following all COSHH guidance and keeping training up to date
  • Complying with legal and company health & safety requirements and risk assessments
  • Proactively reporting any concerns related to maintenance, safety or operations

About You

You love working outdoors, enjoy being hands-on and take real pride in creating spaces where people feel comfortable, welcome and cared for.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn systems, processes and safety procedures
  • A flexible approach to working patterns
