About the Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be an integral part of The Wave team. You will educate customers on our values, the brands we sell, and our extensive own-brand product range. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional retail experience, creating a relaxed but inspiring store and online atmosphere by delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high store standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while taking a proactive sales approach and demonstrating strong commercial awareness to drive revenue.
  • Use the Access (EPOS) system to process sales, exchanges, returns and discounts, while developing advanced knowledge including product setup and stock take data entry.
  • Maintain high shop floor and merchandising standards, including pricing, restocking, stockroom organisation, and general retail space upkeep.
  • Support stock management by assisting with deliveries, stock takes, analysing sales and stock reports, highlighting trends, and helping order new stock.
  • Develop strong product, brand, and wave session knowledge to confidently advise visitors and support Info Desk tasks such as bookings and same-day discounts.
  • Contribute to team development and operations by supporting training, building relationships with brand representatives, assisting other departments during busy periods, and following all health & safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or customer service experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of EPOS systems preferred but not essential.
  • Understanding of health & safety and merchandising standards.
