Working predominantly within our Clubhouse, and supporting our accommodation at The Camp, you’ll help us maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation across our unique site. This role is hands‑on, varied and active, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a positive guest experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the Clubhouse, including customer and staff toilets, showers and changing facilities.
- Carrying out housekeeping and changeover cleans for our safari tent accommodation at The Camp.
- Ensuring all areas are fully stocked with consumables such as toilet roll, soap, sanitiser and cleaning supplies.
- Preparing cleaning carts, organising linen and restocking accommodation as required.
- Emptying bins and maintaining cleanliness across wider site facilities.
- Following daily, open and close checklists using our digital systems.
- Providing a friendly, helpful presence to guests while working and supporting an excellent overall experience.
- Working to The Wave’s standards, SOPs and house rules, taking pride in the environment and equipment.
- Proactively reporting any maintenance, cleanliness or operational concerns to your manager.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures, COSHH guidance and risk assessments.
We’re looking for:
- A proactive, positive and hands‑on approach, with a willingness to muck in where needed.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- The ability to work independently and use initiative.
- A friendly, respectful attitude towards guests, teammates and the wider community.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, outdoor environment and in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and peak periods.
- A proactive, positive spirit that aligns naturally with our FAIR values.
You don’t need to be a surfer - but you should be excited about what we do.

- A good understanding of Health & Safety practices (training provided).
- Physical ability to carry out cleaning tasks across the site.
