Logistics Manager – Role Overview: Wattrus Group is seeking a highly organised, passionate and proactive Logistics Manager to lead and manage our logistics operations within the Flooring Midlands Department as a Middle Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless, client-focused experience, coordinating effectively with site teams, installers, and clients to achieve installation schedules and maintain the strong relationships that make Wattrus Group a market leader in floor coverings. Acts as a key support resource for the Operations Manager and other Middle Managers within the team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and operational support while assisting with diverse tasks and responsibilities as needed. Our clients consist of some of the biggest names in the new house building market, such as Taylor Wimpey, Persimmons, Barrat Redrow, Crest Nicholson and many more.

We are looking for someone with experience in a scheduling and management job role, that can effectively communicate with site teams and fitters in a timely and professional manner to ensure installation dates are being achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the flooring installation teams work, ensuring accuracy, resource optimisation, and cost efficiency.
- Manage job allocations, forecast upcoming installation needs, and coordinate logistics in collaboration with Contracts Manager.
- Coordinate flooring fitting teams on a daily basis to ensure efficient delivery of plots being installed.
- Ensure timely completion of installation sign-offs and resolve any discrepancies ahead of month-end cut-offs.
- Process and validate flooring fitters’ invoices and purchase orders.
- Review flooring fitters’ performance, quality, and cost efficiency; providing regular feedback and support for training and improvement.
- Support Contracts Manager with site visits, readiness checks, and Health & Safety compliance, including RAMS and equipment coordination.
- Act as a point of contact for site teams regarding scheduling, readiness, and site progress.
- Anticipate and plan for installation peaks through proactive scheduling and resource forecasting.
- Forecast monthly workloads and installation requirements, ensuring alignment with business targets and budgets.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager on the overall performance of the Logistics Team.
- Reporting on the profitability of Logistics and the operational efficiency.
- Maintain vehicle schedules, condition reports, and coordinate servicing and maintenance of company vehicles.
- Review installation corrective action reports (CARs) and ensure timely feedback and resolution.
- Liaise with internal teams to align installation coordination, logistics, and reporting processes.
Required Profile:
- Ability to react quickly to high pressure situations, think on your feet and make commercial aware decisions.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and experience working within logistics.
- Experience in the housebuilding, construction or flooring industry would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Effective relationship builder capable of managing expectations and communicating across senior leadership and the rest of the Flooring team.
- Great organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Highly driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A desire to learn and grow with the organisation.
