The Wasabi Company is a UK-based grower and supplier of authentic Japanese wasabi and specialist Japanese ingredients, supplying retail, chef and wholesale customers across the UK and beyond. We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Distribution Co-ordinator to join our team to support the smooth day-to-day running of our busy customer order and dispatch operations.
This is a key role at the heart of our day-to-day operations. You’ll be making sure customer orders are processed accurately, deliveries go out on time and customers receive a high level of service and communication throughout the process. You will be responsible for managing multiple priorities, resolving operational issues efficiently and helping maintain organised and effective workflows across the business. This opportunity would suit someone with strong communication skills, who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys getting the details right and stays cool and confident when things get busy. The role is full time, Monday to Friday — with no weekend working, so you can keep your weekends firmly your own.
Duties
- Process and manage retail and wholesale customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate daily order flow with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries via phone and email
- Book shipments and raise claims with shipping providers when needed
- Provide delivery updates, product information and resolve customer issues promptly
- Monitor and resolve order or shipment issues to maintain excellent customer service
- Support dispatch operations, including packing and prioritising urgent orders where required
- Organise and complete export paperwork accurately for international shipments and customs compliance
- Communicate stock shortages and operational issues internally
- Maintain accurate order records, customer information and documentation
About You

Due to the rural location of our distribution hub, a full driving license and your own transport is essential.
