About Us
Welcome to The Warwick Hotel by Colombo Edition. We are an up-and-coming, highly ambitious hotel group with clear plans for rapid expansion. Our mission is beautifully simple yet entirely unique: we want to bring the warmth, passion, vibrant food, and friendly hospitality from the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" right to the heart of Britain. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, culturally rich, and unforgettable experience for every guest who walks through our doors.
The Role
Food and drink are at the very heart of what we do. We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and energetic Food & Beverage Supervisor / Manager to lead our restaurant, bar, and event catering operations. In this role, you will be the bridge between our vibrant kitchen and our guests. You will lead the F&B team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring that the unique flavors, spices, and stories of our Indian Ocean-inspired as well as our Premium British menus are communicated and celebrated. Whether you are a seasoned F&B Supervisor stepping up, or an experienced F&B Manager, you will play a crucial role in making our dining experience a standout destination in its own right, driving profitability while maintaining impeccable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Dining Experience: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, room service, and event catering, ensuring every guest enjoys a flawless, authentic, and vibrant dining experience.
- Team Leadership & Product Knowledge: Train, mentor, and motivate the F&B team. Ensure all staff have a deep, confident knowledge of our unique menu, ingredients, and the cultural story behind our food and beverage offerings.
- Operational Synergy: Work hand-in-hand with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless communication between the front and back of house, particularly during peak service times and large events.
- Commercial Performance: Manage staff rotas, monitor labor costs, and oversee beverage stock control and ordering to maximize profitability without compromising on quality.
- Upselling Strategy: Empower and incentivize your team to confidently upsell premium dishes, signature cocktails, and wines that complement our menu.
- Compliance & Standards: Strictly enforce all health, safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations, ensuring the dining and bar areas are spotless and compliant at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Proven experience as a Supervisor or Manager within a dynamic hotel F&B department, high-end restaurant, or premium gastro-venue.
- Culinary Passion: A genuine love for food and drink. An appreciation for, or knowledge of, South Asian/Indian Ocean cuisine is a significant advantage, as you will be the ambassador for both our British and International menus.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of F&B financials, including stocktaking, minimizing wastage, and managing labor costs (particularly for the Manager level).
- Exceptional Host: You have a charismatic, hands-on floor presence. You love interacting with guests, explaining dishes, and ensuring everyone leaves with a smile.
- Calm & Resilient: Highly organized and able to keep a cool head and guide a team through the pressure of a busy service or a large-scale function.
- Ambitious: You share our group's ambition and want to build a reputation that will help drive our expansion across Britain.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: Tailored to your level of experience (Supervisor vs. Manager).
- Service Charge: A healthy, transparent share in the hotel's service charge troncs.
- Performance Bonus: Incentives tied to F&B revenue targets, stock control, and guest satisfaction scores.
- Pension Scheme: Comprehensive company pension.
- Meals on Duty: Enjoy the incredible, authentic flavors of our kitchen every day you work.
- Career Growth: The opportunity to grow into a multi-site or Group F&B Operations role as we rapidly expand our brand.
