We are seeking a qualified Captain for a 30m sailing yacht currently in the UK, transitioning from a yard period to cruising the Norwegian coast. The ideal candidate will hold a yacht master qualification, preferably a Master 200 and possess relevant experience in managing the crew of four. There is a more senior captain involved with the yacht for 5 years. The yacht has a planned itinerary extending to the Caribbean, Panama, the West Coast of the USA, and down to Chile over the next two years. Initially, the Captain will live ashore until the yacht is operational. The position offers a rotational schedule of 8 weeks on and 8 weeks off. This role is suitable for a professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards in vessel management.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing vessel operations, ensuring safety and compliance, and managing the crew during predominantly private use.

Qualifications:

  • STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
  • ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
  • Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
