Are you passionate about making a difference to children's futures? Do you have the ability to think outside of the box? The Acorn Centre is looking to add to our team. We are an alternative provision based in South Oxhey for local DSPL9 schools, focusing on building positive experiences for children in a nurturing environment.
This is a rewarding and challenging role that enables progress across all areas of development and gives every child the opportunity to achieve their potential. Proven experience working directly with children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential, along with experience working alongside external agencies.
We are looking for a person who is emotionally robust and can provide a holistic approach to supporting the needs of vulnerable children at risk of exclusion. An understanding of the reasons for behaviour choices is essential, and the ability to put strategies in place to support the child and school will be required.
The Acorn Centre is an alternative provision for children who are at risk of being excluded from primary school. This role is part of an exciting development across DSPL9.
As part of a Multi Academy Trust you will have the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic team where everyone is valued and CPD for all is a school priority. Our Together Strategy ensures all staff have all of the support that they need, whilst working with us.
We are based in South Oxhey where there are many local amenities including gyms, supermarkets, and great travel links by train. We offer free parking.
Please note the position is full time and is not at Warren Dell School but will be based at our provision at 39 Oxhey Drive, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD19 7SD. We strongly encourage visits prior to applying and would be delighted to show you our outstanding setting.
