About The Role & Team

This is a 6 month fixed-term contract until the end of August 2026 covering an employee moving into a secondment role in another area of the business. The Store Manager plays the role of a brand ambassador by representing the Disney brand to the Cast and Guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a high energy work environment that supports the achievement of all Company goals and initiatives.
  • Inspire Cast and Store Management Team to achieve maximum performance levels through daily feedback and performance management.
  • Lead the team in fostering teamwork and collaboration among Store, peers and Home Base partners.
  • Drive a team to achieve exceptional financial results through motivating the Cast, scheduling effectively and controlling expenses.

What You Will Do

  • Supervise the Leadership team and Cast in the use of innovation, creative language, technology and product to bring stories to life for internal and external Guests.
  • Lead and perform scripted and non-scripted events for Guests and Cast Members in both one on one and group settings.
  • Perform the Sales Manager role by holding Cast accountable for sharing knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the Disney brand with internal and external Guests.
  • Inspire others to achieve results through a sense of purpose, a spirit of cooperation and personal growth, especially while performing the Stage Manager role.
  • Plan and oversee product placement to ensure adherence to Stage Set guidelines, fits Store architecture and contributes to the overall story being told.
  • Ensure that Store is neat, clean, organized and that all maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Cultivate an environment that is inclusive of all Cast Members and the talents that they bring.
  • Support and participates in initiatives that give back and have a positive impact on the internal (Store) community and the external community.
  • Adheres to all Company directives which promote the protection and preservation of the environment.
  • Develop innovative ideas and encourages creative thinking for establishing best practices that will enhance the environment.

Show

  • Analyse and monitors sales results of product to determine action plans to drive sales based on product placement.
  • Maintain impeccable, Company directed visual standards, incorporating in Store technology, through Cast accountability.
  • Monitor Cast execution of merchandise flow including shipment processing, recovery & replenishment and visual standards to ensure all processes are efficient.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to ensure Disney brand standards are consistently achieved.
  • Establish the Guests, both internal and external, as the number one priority to ensure that positive, memorable experiences are achieved.
  • May periodically perform sales support and Guest service during scheduled shifts.
  • Coach Store leadership and models how to adapt to the ever changing environment, different Guest needs while continually providing Exceptional Guest Service.
  • Cultivate positive, trusting and effective working relationships within the Store, District, Region, Zone and executive partners.
  • Uses these and all resources, to develop strategies and solutions.

Contribution

  • Make sound business decisions that balance competing priorities.
  • Choose the best strategies after evaluating all options and by using the filter of what is best for the Guest, both internal and external.
  • Create strategies that drive positive results in key performance indicators including sales, conversion, ADS and preventing loss.
  • Think strategically when evaluating business trends, forecasting sales and approving/flexing the schedule to leverage payroll to appropriately meet the needs of the business and adhere to payroll budget.
  • Set strategies to drive gross margin performance by ensuring that new, high margin product gets prioritized Stage placement, replenishment and receives focused selling efforts.
  • Perform daily Store opening and closing procedures balancing all Store funds.
  • Control expenses to positively impact the Store’s contribution including store labour and manages efficient loss prevention procedures.
  • Champion adherence to all SOPs including all aspects of Health and Safety to protect Company assets and to comply with Company policies and procedures, and employment laws.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team that drives results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple business priorities through time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Prior management experience in retail preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Understanding and adhering to the Health and Safety guidelines with regards to manual handling and the use of ladders, as appropriate.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance.
