The merchandise seller is responsible for providing exceptional service whilst selling merchandise and creating magical memories for Guests from around the world! Whilst handling payment transactions and inventory with accuracy, they create a fun and engaging experience for Guests of all ages, contributing to the overall success of the retail business. By helping a family choose the perfect souvenir or stocking the shelves with the latest merchandise, this role plays an integral part of making every Guest's visit a memorable one. The role has a large impact on the efficiency of daily operations and is required to achieve tasks in a positive, proactive, and professional manner; whilst collaborating with colleagues to meet goals.
As a revenue generating role, this job requires individuals to achieve results through proactive selling, a focus on promotions & incentives, adapting to different sales areas & techniques, and maximising opportunities for sales throughout a sales period.
Responsibilities:- Meeting sales, service, and presentation goals
- Proactively welcoming Guests, assisting in selecting merchandise and providing information about products.
- Operating the EPOS till system accurately and handling transactions effectively.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and restocking merchandise as needed.
- Supporting in dressing displays and arranging merchandise to attract Guests, maintaining Disney Brand standards.
- Keeping the shop or kiosk areas clean and organised.
- Maintaining a positive, smiley and friendly attitude towards Guests and colleagues; demonstrating a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all actions.
- Consistently and appropriately offering promotions or upselling products to enhance the guest experience, and meeting sales targets.
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge and sales promotions.
- Following safety and security procedures to prevent loss and theft of merchandise.
- Attending team meetings and training sessions.
- Assisting with stock deliveries.
- Working both independently and as part of the team to meet performance goals, shared team goals and maintain efficiency.
- Adhering to all set policies, procedures, and administrative requirements.
- No previous experience is required, but experience in retail or customer service is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with Guests
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
- Cash and stock handling experience

- Additional responsibilities and duties will be assigned based on the needs of the business.
- Shifts are usually 8 hours, Monday through Sunday. However, shift lengths will vary depending on the needs of the business.
- Shift times will vary based on performance schedule and operation needs.
- Shifts can start as early as 9am and finish as late as 11pm and are allocated based on the needs of the business.
- All staff need to be available for day times, evenings and weekends.
